Dysport®

Neurotoxins, such as Dysport®, are substances that specifically target and affect the nervous system. Dysport®, a brand of botulinum toxin type A, is commonly used in cosmetic procedures to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by blocking the signals between nerves and muscles, resulting in muscle relaxation and smoother skin.

Dysport® is injected directly into specific facial muscles, where it inhibits the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contractions. As a result, the treated muscles become temporarily paralyzed, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Dysport® and Botox® are effective in reducing wrinkles and lines. Because the composition of Dysport® includes specific proteins alongside the botulinum toxin A, it can spread further in the face. Some find it to have more natural-looking appearance.
